Transnational Korean Studies Professor Jeyseon Lee has been selected as the recipient of the prestigious Distinguished Teaching Award for the year 2021-2022, given by the Academic Senate of the UC, San Diego. The Transnational Korean Studies is an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary program. The minor allows students to explore and deepen their knowledge of Korea, especially in its connections with Asia and beyond.
The Transnational Korean Studies program draws on courses available through various departments including history, literature, anthropology, economics, visual arts, and more.
Our exciting events range from social hours to guest speakers lecturing about K-pop. All of our events are free and open to the public.
